How this office started
World Wide Bail Bonds opened in 2013 and has worked the same ground ever since: the jails, the courts and the families of Mobile County. Keith Brewer runs it, and the office sits at 653 S Conception St in downtown Mobile, a few blocks off Government Street, close enough to the courthouse and the detention facility that paperwork does not have to wait on a drive across town.
The reason the business looks the way it does is the hour most of the calls arrive. Somebody gets a three minute phone call from custody, usually between midnight and sunrise, and the person on the other end has never posted a bond before. So the phone is answered at every hour, including holidays, and the first conversation is spent on plain information rather than a sales pitch: what the bond amount is, what the fee is, what we need from you, and in what order.
We write bonds of any size, and we set up payment arrangements when the full fee is not possible that night, because the fee should not be the thing that keeps somebody in a cell over a weekend. Cash, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, debit cards, checks, Apple Pay and Cash App are all accepted, and the terms get read out loud before anyone signs.
Two other things have not changed since 2013. The process stays confidential, meaning we do not discuss a case with anyone who is not on the paperwork. And if a situation is one we are the wrong people to help with, we say so and point you somewhere useful instead of running the clock.
